Caulking trim or track or whatever it is
The strip that runs down both sides of a Renegade that incorporates the basement compartment hinges...I don't know what to call it. Is it supposed to have a bead of caulk at the top? Mile looks like it might have had some or has some behind it, but I am not certain. Should it be sealed?

Mine has a little bead along the top

Not sure, its white and feels like silicone. If I was guessing I would say yes.

Ok. Thanks!

The problem with silicone is that nothing will stick to it......not even more silicone. You would probably be better off using Dicor or something similar.

I picked at it a bit today. Looks like silicone, but i guess the Dicor would be a good fix too, especially since I already have a tube of it. I'll try to get an answer out of Renegade in the morning.

Spoke to technical support at Renegade today. They said that they use white silicone, but that either material would work.
He also recommended that I remove the center cover and remove and reseal each screw! I think I'll tackle that one later and just seal the top of the trim for now. |
Well, since that's the response you got then you can use either!! Have fun resealing the screws............:p
