Air hose on the Freightliner
 
So where do I plumb in the air chuck for my air hose? I did a search and got nothing...

If you don't have fairings covering the fuel tanks check under the drivers side rear corner of the cab on the frame there may already be an air quick coupler there.

If not you have a few options, some involved others simple.

The easiset is if you have trailer air brake connections on the back of the unit just go to the local truck stop or hdt parts store and buy one of the kits they have that consists of an air hose with a red glad hand on it (to use it simply attach to the red glad hand on the coach and push in the red button on the dash) or...

In order to plumb it in yourself you can either plumb a line to one of the accessory ports on the air drier (crawl underneath the air drier and look along the bottom edge and you will see a few ports in a row, a couple of which will already be used) or you can install a line in one of the unused ports on one of the remote air tanks (don't go to the one on your air drier, that is the wet tank) and I would recommend putting a shut off valve on the line as most quick couplers leak.

there should be one already - under the drivers door, between the tank & the box.
other wise get yourself a glad-hand air line....

i also installed ball valve on the one mounted under the drivers door / cab.
its a bit of a pain to use the coach air to fill up the tires, since the tires require so much pressure.

i keep a CO2 bottle in mow storage bay - w/ an adjust able 175psi regulator on it - it'll fill a tire pretty quick & i don't have to have the coach engine running, the regulator cost me about 55 bucks & i had the tanks (from an old keggerator)....i exchange the tank at my local welding supply story for about 14 bucks when its empty.

Thanks for the info porky I will go look, So Don, I have argon, oxygen, nitrogen bottles.....lol, and I use to have a keg bottle too, I looked and no coupler under the driver side and will craw under later.

So how many tire will a little cyl. fill or top off?

i usually use the 5 lb cylinder for the jeep when we go off roading (since i don't have on board air on the Jeep Wrangler)....itll top up at least 8 tires. Ive since picked up a 10 lb cylinder for topping up the coach tires.

below are some numbers from powertank.com for a 10 or 15 lb bottle.
btw powertank & smittybuilt make similar systems that will run you 250-400 bucks.

in complete transparency - i rarely ever take the bottles with me anymore...every since i install my TST 507 Tire Pressure & Temp monitoring system i MIGHT have to touch a coach valve stem Twice a year, usually only once (when the temp gets cool).

for airing coach tires this video can be helpful (keep watching til at least the 6 minute (or so) mark so you can see the added gauge (in the UPDATED video he adds a bleeder so no one has to pump the brake).
