What do you folks think of this incomplete machine with a $44,000 diesel motor upgrade, 2,900 miles, $521,915 MSRP?
If the MSRP is $521k, what is the realistic selling price? As for the ebay ad, I'm quoting from the seller: "As for the reserve it is set far below half the MSRP" It sort of looks like the inside of my house. Lots of unfinished projects. I don't think the MSRP has much if any bearing on what a fair price is as the MSRP is based on a new factory fresh completed vehicle that is warranted stem to stern. This is a pig in a poke. It has a bunch of spendy stuff, will the buyer receive the benefit of any warranty for the various equipment? I would base any estimate as to a price on what a used one of this year and model would go for at wholesale and then subtract every dollar amount which would represent repairs necessary to bring a used one up to a usable condition.
I' also research all I could as to issues with any of the components. How do other motorhomes built on that chassis get rated. And everything else as well. |
.....current bid is $115,000 or so....I wouldn't part with that much....something wrong with "500hp ISM"- it is a small intercity engine.......I'll pass....geofkaye

Hey all.....
Actually that 500HP rating is real.... that is the max rating in a motorhome-type ISM Cummins. I would not have believed it either but a friend of mine has a 500HP ISM Cummins in a Holiday Rambler motorhome. This guy must have had the computer played with to uprate it up to the motorhome rating...... See y'all! Gary |
