That rig is WAY overpriced. I don't care much for the "HEY LOOK AT ME" paint job either. To tow ~anything~ behind it you'd need to stop and get a permit in each state...WOOHOO!

I know there has been some discussion on Powerhouse Coach in the past in here. I don't know what they are doing now, but someone who looked at them back then had said they take a travel trailer and modify it onto the chassis. But the thing that gets me is that motorhome door. That thing is a law suit waiting to happen. First of all why would you put it on the street side of the motorhome?????? Then there are 7 or 8 steps to get up there and no railing??
Just don't get it. Bill |
The reason for the streetside door is because this particular ex-trailer (actually a 5th-wheel) is turned back-to-front on the truck chassis. The space under the (former)hitch is walled in to create storage space. Kinda hokey, but I guess it works for them. I might have been the one who mentioned the use of a travel trailer for these rigs. Pretty much describes the quality(?!?!?!?)construction, huh?
Oh- I also heard that they get their coaches in incomplete form from Forest River, then modify according to customer wishes. These poor saps actually think they're getting a high-end rig!!! Oh well. |
....that number $209,000 was the first clue that something wasn't just right....geof
