Chassis :

2000-model 3-ton 4 x 4 Mitsubishi Fuso FG (Canter in some markets) truck (new January 2002) with the 3900 cc, 4-cylinder turbo diesel. See www.mitfuso.com/pages/model_fg.html. Fuel tanks give 1100 kms (730 miles) driving range, and the 5 jerry can rack allows a further 500 kms (300 miles). Truck averages 15 to 17 MPG in most conditions. Five speed, high/low range transmission. Brakes equipped with ABS. Rear axle has a limited-slip differential, Comfortable highway cruising at 100 kph (about 65 mph). Dimensions: L 5.79m/19', W 2.44m/8', H 3.12m/10'3". Weight 4.5 Tonnes/9900 Lbs. The vehicle meets all US importation regulations including Section 108 which refers to clearance lights on the Bigfoot Camper which is built in Canada .

Living space:

2001 Series 1517CB Bigfoot Travel Trailer with custom-engineered mounting to the truck chassis. The 1700 Series has been replaced by the 2500 series. Look up 25B175CB diagram. Bigfoot RV products are 'high-end' composite moulded Fibreglass monocoque construction with excellent insulation and a reputation for rugged strength and the ability to handle rough roads without damage or leaks.

Tires : Yokohama Supersteel 10 ply, 7.50 R 16. The first set circled the globe without damage. Present set has 22,000 miles. Never a flat, puncture or damage occured on very challenging terrain. Single spare fits any location.
