the smarts are 1800 lbs (my wrangler, 2 door, soft top, manual trans is 3800 lbs according to edmunds, but i think i weighed it myself and it was 4200)


i read somewhere (on the internet) a listing of brake requirements by state....most states don't require brakes on the tow vehicle if it weighs less than 4k or so.
