I would think $149. is a small amount to spend for a good inspection. I don't know what is included for that amount. I had my brother test drive my truck (1982 Pete with 13 speed) and he was impressed with how good the transmission felt. a few months later I had the transmission serviced and found that it had lots of metal in the oil. That imspection might have saved me some big bucks. If something large is found, you walk away just out $149. If a number of small things are found you might be able to use that info to lower the price. Even if you get a clean inspection that does not mean everything is going to work for a long time. That is the nature of big trucks. Good luck Kenn
