There was an accident last weekend outside Atlanta where a converted bus rammed into the back of a tractor-trailer pinning the driver. He was critically injured and after extraction lost both legs above the knees.

Those Eagle(?) buses are built pretty sturdy. The driver probably would not have fared as well in a manufactured motorhome.

Having a truck conversion's engine compartment in front would seem even safer than a bus plate glass window. Some tractor cabs (Volvo) have a safety crush zone feature where the engine and transmission drop below the rails with frontal high impact so that the Cummins doesn't end up in your lap.

The above pictures might be the strongest arguments for a Super C TC over a manufactured class A motorhome.
