IMHO, this is not a do-able choice. other factors are the length of the wheelbase to keep enough weight on the front axle to be able to steer it, the weight of the cooper isn't the only thing you'd have, the back door-lift, what ever you'd carry, and the structure, frame rails, floor et.. a single axle can be ok IF the rear is heavy enough, 26,000# still wouldn't be enough and you'd be over the legal weight anyway. NOT picking or tryin' to discourage, just passin' along info to consider. anything can be done--- i just don't think it would work satisfactorly.---- mase
