My sensors are all over the map too. I can just look down the toilet when I flush it to see how high the crap is in there. And I've never filled up the gray tank before the black. I think if I were to fill the gray it would come up in the shower so I'd know it. My 200 gallons of fresh water (2x100 gallon tanks) is under the master bed. It was hard to get to because the decking is screwed down on the framing. I cut a hole in the siding underneath the bed. Then I mounted a wooden drawer front that I bought at Menard's (like a lowes or Home Depot). I used some regular hinges on it at the top edge so when it is shut it's hanging down from the hinges. Then if I want to see what my fresh water tank is at I just lift up that panel and shine a flashlite in at the tank. Next step is to mount a light above the tank so I don't have to use my flashlite.
